Overhead view of the base. I used model railroad "ballast" to create the gravel effect between the broken sections of street. The base came with displaced cobblestones sticking out of the surface of the road, some of which got in the way of the tank's treads. I cut those off and placed them in various places on the display, such as on the sidewalk, in the gaps between the road sections, etc.
